What this project demanded
A silo is a tall, slender structure under changing load, and the vibration from filling and discharge transfers straight into any ancillary equipment. An industrial elevator there needs both proper tie-in and, in grain dust, effective sealing with a disciplined lubrication schedule. A speed of 1.6 m/s over 60 metres is what makes daily inspection of the upper levels practical.
